Anywhere

Terms of Use

Effective October 27, 2026

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Fenn AI LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), 1 Brady St, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States, about your use of Anywhere: the app for iPhone, the website at anywhere.fenn.chat and the Anywhere agent API (together, “Anywhere”). By continuing past Anywhere’s welcome screen, or by using Anywhere in any other way, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Anywhere.

In short

This summary helps you read the Terms; it doesn’t replace them.

1. Who can use Anywhere

You must be at least 18 years old, able to form a binding contract, and not barred from using Anywhere by the laws that apply to you. Anywhere is for your personal, non-commercial use.

2. Your account

You sign in to Anywhere with a phone number that is yours, confirmed by a code we text to it. Your account belongs to that number: you sign in again with it, later or on another iPhone. If you lose the number, tell us before it goes to someone else.

You are responsible for what happens through your account, including through the outside agents you connect, and for keeping your devices and your sign-in methods secure. One account per person: don’t create accounts by automated means, share or sell your account, or create a new one after we removed yours. Your name must not mislead or offend; we may remove a name that breaks these Terms.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Anywhere has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. You must not post, send, share or store through Anywhere, or ask Fenn or an outside agent to create, any content that:

This applies to everything you add to Anywhere: messages, photos, videos, voice messages, place names and notes, your name and your profile photo. You also must not harass, stalk, threaten or intimidate anyone, or use Anywhere, its location sharing, Fenn’s arrival alerts or an outside agent to watch or follow anyone without their knowledge and consent.

Report and block. You can report a person in the app, and block anyone at any time. Blocking stops direct contact and sharing with that person and takes your direct conversation out of your chats. The Privacy Policy explains how blocking and unblocking affect the settings available in your app.

What we do. We may investigate reports and remove content that is harmful or breaks these Terms, and suspend or end the account of the person who provided it. We may also keep the content and report it to the authorities, including to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for child sexual abuse material, when the law requires it or when someone may be at risk. To report something urgent, write to c@fenn.chat.

We don’t review content before it is posted: it is the responsibility of the person who posts it. But we act on what we learn breaks these Terms.

4. Fenn and other AI features

Fenn is an AI assistant, not a person. It runs on artificial intelligence models from OpenAI, and it can search the web. Messages and shared content go to OpenAI to power Fenn’s answers and to find places in messages, as described in our Privacy Policy. The app does not show a separate permission prompt for this processing. The Privacy Policy explains what Fenn reads and what goes to OpenAI.

Fenn’s answers, the places Anywhere finds in chats and the names it gives the places you visit are generated automatically. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and can sound sure when they are not. Check anything that matters, such as an address, opening hours, directions or safety information, before you rely on it. Fenn doesn’t give professional advice (medical, legal, financial or any other) and is not an emergency service.

Fenn acts only as Anywhere allows and as you ask: it can add places to your map and, in your own conversation with it, change or remove them; it can send you follow-ups and set the arrival alerts you ask for. Its changes to your map can be undone. In conversations with friends, it answers when someone asks it, and uses only what everyone there may see.

You must not use Fenn to create content these Terms forbid, to break OpenAI’s usage policies, to get other people’s information or to get around its limits. Fenn answers each person a limited number of times a day. Within these Terms, you may use Fenn’s answers to you as you like; other people may get similar answers to similar questions.

5. Outside agents

You can connect AI agents and other software made by others (“outside agents”), such as ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or your own scripts, to your account: with a personal token, or by confirming your account and the access shown on Anywhere’s connection page. A connected agent can read and change your places and notes, read your visits, trips and history, and read your current location, as the Privacy Policy describes.

The names and logos of outside agents belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the services you can connect. Their owners don’t sponsor or endorse Anywhere, and we are not affiliated with them.

6. Location, maps and friends

Anywhere uses your iPhone’s location to build your map and your history, and shares it only as you choose. Locations, visits, trips, predicted destinations and arrival times are estimates: they can be late, imprecise, wrong or missing.

7. Your content

Your places, notes, messages, photos and everything else you add to Anywhere remain yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content, only as needed to run Anywhere for you and for the people you share it with, including through the service providers named in the Privacy Policy. This license lasts as long as we keep your content, as the Privacy Policy describes, and ends when you delete your account, except for the copies others hold (such as the messages you sent them) and the copies the law requires us to keep.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you add, including the consent of the people in your photos, and that it doesn’t break these Terms or the law. Importing places from Google is meant for your own data.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely, without paying you.

8. Acceptable use

Besides what section 3 forbids, you must not:

9. Services from others

Anywhere shows maps and place information from Apple, Google and others, and works with services you choose, such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and outside agents. Those services belong to their providers, follow their own terms, and can change or stop. Some place information in Anywhere comes from Google Maps Platform: by using Anywhere you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, and Google’s use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

10. Beta, changes and availability

Anywhere is pre-release software, offered through Apple’s TestFlight. It may have bugs, and its features may change, move or disappear. We may change, suspend or stop Anywhere or any part of it, and we don’t promise that it will always be available, fast or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything important. Anywhere is free to use today; if we ever charge for something, we will tell you first, and you will choose.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Anywhere at any time, and delete your account from the app’s settings. We may suspend or end your access, without notice when needed, if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other people or Anywhere. Sections 7 (for feedback) and 12 to 17 still apply after your use ends.

12. Disclaimers

ANYWHERE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT ANYWHERE, ITS MAPS, LOCATIONS AND PREDICTIONS, OR ANY CONTENT GENERATED BY AI, WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, SECURE OR AVAILABLE. YOU USE ANYWHERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NEITHER WE NOR OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO ANYWHERE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT ANYWHERE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE LESSER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ANYWHERE AND US$100.

Some laws don’t allow some of these exclusions or limits. Where such a law applies, they apply only as far as it allows, and you may have other rights.

14. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you will defend and indemnify us, and hold us harmless, against the claims, losses and costs (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) that others bring and that arise from your content, your use of Anywhere, the outside agents you connect, or your breach of these Terms or of someone’s rights.

15. Disputes

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of the country you live in gives you protections that can’t be waived.

Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with us, write to c@fenn.chat. We will both try to resolve it informally for 30 days before either of us starts a proceeding.

Arbitration, if you live in the United States. Any dispute about Anywhere or these Terms that we can’t resolve informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in San Francisco County, California, or remotely. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, or ask a court to stop the infringement of intellectual property rights. YOU AND WE EACH GIVE UP THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO TAKE PART IN A CLASS ACTION OR A CLASS ARBITRATION. Where this arbitration agreement doesn’t apply, disputes will be heard by the state and federal courts of San Francisco County, California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

If you live outside the United States, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

16. Apple

These terms apply to the app you get from Apple, through the App Store or TestFlight:

Questions, complaints and claims about the app go to us, at the address in section 19.

17. General terms

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Anywhere. If a part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we haven’t waived it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger, an acquisition or a sale of assets. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

California users can reach the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Anywhere changes. When a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; if you keep using Anywhere after that, you accept the new Terms. If you don’t accept them, stop using Anywhere and delete your account.
